River Road Tavern, which has been partially open now for about eight weeks, has far exceeded the expectations of venue manager Andrew Scrivenor.
The tavern is part of the Athena Hotel Group and Andrew has experience from many other venues. His projections for River Road Tavern considerably underestimated the revenue now being experienced and there is much more to come.
T he Gaming Room now has a small number of poker machines. They will be seeking more in the next round of Government tenders.
There is live music on Friday and Saturday nights and on Sunday afternoon. This may be extended in the near future. Keep watching Beenleigh Buzz for details.
The intention of both the developer Will Griffin and the management was that
River Road tavern would attract families as customers and this is turning out to be the case, There is already a "Kids Room" and plans are afoot for movie nights for kids on the big screen.
The food being offered is of course a main feature attracting families. The projections called for a new kitchen three years after opening In view of the response of Beenleigh families this has now been amended to three months after opening! That is little over a month away.
Above is a photo of the dining room when it was opened just over a month ago. New Italian designed tables and chairs have now replaced those in the photo.
The reservation system is shortly to be updated and online booking will be available through "Book It Now".
River Road Tavern is looking for staff. If you would like to be in the hospitality industry ring Andrew or Jolene on 3067 2333.
A big FAMILY FUN DAY is planned for Saturday October 5th and will involve a jumping castle in the car park area.
